Our Story
We’re two sisters from the Bay of Plenty. Claudia is a Waihi local, and Samantha spent years living overseas before moving home. Together, we built Baask to reconnect with each other, our community, and the bliss of living slow by the ocean.
We wanted to build something that felt meaningful, not to add another item to your to-do list, but to give you a place to finally put it down.
Our vision was simple, but close to our hearts — to create a modern wellness experience shaped by thoughtful design, sensory detail and a love for nostalgic coastal spaces. No fads, no complex rituals and no pretence. Just the simple rhythm of heat and cold, held in a space designed to help you breathe deeper, settle into the moment and leave feeling lighter.
Whether you’re a local rediscovering your rhythm or a visitor seeking a unique escape — the towels are always warm, the water is cool, and the faces are friendly.

We built BAASK to feel less like regimen and more like a true retreat.
Inspired by the nostalgic, sun-faded character of a 1970s coastal hotel and the calm, considered feel of modern wellness spaces. We’ve filled the space with earthy terracotta, warm timber, and tactile finishes. Relaxed, intentional, and ready for you to unwind.
