We have four private rooms at BAASK. Two are contrast therapy rooms - each with a sauna and ice bath — and two are infrared sauna-only rooms. Our contrast rooms fit up to three people, and our sauna-only rooms fit up to two or three. All rooms are private and yours for the entire duration of your session.

Traditional saunas heat the air around you to high temperatures — typically 70–90°C. Infrared saunas work differently; the heat penetrates your body directly, warming you from the inside out at a lower temperature (usually 55-65°C). This means a gentler, longer-lasting experience that many people find easier to sit in — and just as effective.

Contrast therapy rooms (sauna + ice bath) are booked for 60 minutes. Infrared sauna-only rooms are booked for 45 minutes. This includes your session and shower time. For group bookings of 3 in the contrast rooms, your session will be extended to 90 minutes at no extra charge to allow more time to cycle through heat and cold.

Yes — completely. Each room is yours for the entire booking. No shared spaces, no strangers, no interruptions. Whether you're here alone or with someone you love, it's your own little sanctuary for the hour.

We provide towels, filtered water, and Sans [ceuticals] body and hair care products in every shower. Just bring yourself — and maybe a friend.

Our ice baths use ozone sanitation, continuous filtration, and mineral treatment — the same systems used in premium spas. The water is held to NZ Health Standards so it's always fresh, clean, and ready for you.

Swimwear works best in the rooms. We'd suggest bringing something light and loose to change into afterwards — you'll want to stay in that post-session glow as long as possible.

Of course. Our rooms are designed for solo visits or shared moments. A guest fee applies — $25 per extra person in a contrast therapy room, $15 per extra person in a sauna room.

All bookings are made online through our booking system — just hit the 'Check In' button at the top of the page. We recommend booking ahead, especially for weekends and contrast therapy rooms which tend to fill up quickly.

We have a 12-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel or reschedule more than 12 hours before your session, your booking will be credited to your account to use another time. Cancellations within 12 hours, or no-shows will be charged in full. We appreciate as much notice as possible; it makes a real difference to a small business.

Yes, you are welcome to bring a guest. Guest fees apply: $25 for contrast therapy rooms and $15 for sauna rooms.

We welcome guests aged 16 and over. For your comfort and safety, our sauna and contrast therapy experiences are not suitable during pregnancy. If you have any health conditions or concerns, we recommend checking with your healthcare provider before booking. And if you’re unsure about anything, please reach out. We’re always happy to help.

Every room is thoroughly cleaned between each guest using non-toxic, environmentally friendly products. All surfaces, showers, and equipment are reset so everything is fresh when you arrive. We also have a professional deep clean carried out regularly.
